CTC Enactus Team among top 40 in the nation

Enactus's mission is to foster free-market economic education through programs in schools, on college campuses and in communities. The objective is to give America's school children, collegians and citizens a better understanding of and a greater appreciation for the free enterprise system. The unique Enactus experience enables team members to strengthen communication, team building, and management skills; while making a worthwhile contribution to the community and building their resumes.

soup canThe Students In Free Enterprise (Enactus) Team announced the winner of the Let’s CAN Hunger Food Drive department contest today. The winning department is the System & Reg./File Room which collected 5,750 pounds of food. The department will receive a traveling trophy and be treated to a free lunch on Wednesday, February 29. Enactus extends its thanks to all employees and departments for participating. In total, more than 15,304 pounds of food were collected which will benefit the Killeen Food Care Center, the Harker Heights Food Bank and Cove house. 

Opening round honors
The CTC Students in Free Enterprise (Enactus) Team recently earned opening round first runner-up honors at the Enactus National Exposition in Minneapolis, MN. A total of 169 regional champion teams (11 two-year colleges and 158 four-year universities) competed for the Enactus National Championship. The team’s showing placed them among the top 40 of more than 600 college and university Enactus Teams in the nation. CTC qualified for the national competition by winning it’s 15th consecutive regional championship in 2011.
